Re: Language Curriculum (Final)

Margie P. Villanueva
1. What do you think is the significance of language curriculum design in learning capacity of the learners in learning the language?
Language curriculum is design to be able for the learners to become fluent and aware of English language. Just like now we as learners taking this subject to become fluent and aware of our surrounding. And of course to cope up with some things. It is design to teach language in learning curriculum because we need to go deeper. If we don't know which language as young people are going to need, we really  need to be teach  how to learn a language efficiently, so when we do meet a language learning need,we have the underlying conceptual framework to tackle the challenge effectively, and enough confidence in our ability to do so not to be put off.

2. Enumerate and discuss at least two weaknesses and two strengths of the English language in the k+12?
           Strength/Advantages
1. Immediate work after high school, without needing an extra TESDA certificate or passing college requirements such as NSTP and board examinations. Because after taking senior high school you can easily find jobs because they already have vocational degree.
2. One advantage is kids enter college more mature. Because the extra two years give them time to know what they really want to become. Major Weaknesses/disadvantage
1. Major disadvantage is that it's an additional two years to earn a degree. People work later, they earn money later. And in this country, where a lot of children support their family and parents, that's a major disadvantage.
2. Disadvantages - extra two years in high school. Having additional years in high school is big disappointment for them because since they start in grade-1 they knew that it will not take long long time to be in college level then suddenly when the k+12 implemented their expectation will change also. And it will be hard for them to cope with because they are too young to migrate into another place.
3. If there are few things you want to change or improve in the k+12 curriculums what will they be? Why?
One of those things that I want to change or improve if I will be given a chance to do that is to change some subject taken by the senior high school because it is very similar in some subject taken by college students like for example the earth science. If senior high school will take that subject on their additional two years in high school and will take that again in college so what’s the sense of taking that during the first time. Aside from it will no longer exciting, it will cause for a big expenses and will be a waste of time on taking that and if it is will be credited studying in college will be unenjoyably because first of all they will not be interested to enter college because they can have immediate work without studying more in college level and having more certificates. And another thing that I want to change is the distribution of the materials needed by the learners because first of all they implement this curriculum eventhough they are not complete.

1. What do you think is the significance of the language curriculum design in learning capacity of the learners in learning the language ? (25 pts)
ANSWER: The significance of the language curriculum design in learning capacity of the learners in learning language is the Integration, because in curriculum design the main goal is to connect and to integrate that should be led to the learning process.

2.  Enumerate and discuss at east 2 weaknesses & 2  strengths of the English language curriculum in the the K to 12. (20 pts.)
ANSWER: In k-12 curriculum the first strengths  that I had observed is it enhancing the quality of education here in the Philippines, because we are far behind from other country which is they practice these curriculum years ago. Even thou that our second language is English there many of us still not good when it comes in grammar. In k-12 language curriculum the ultimate goal of the Language Arts and Multiliteracies is to produce graduates who apply the language convention, principles, and strategies and skills when interacting with others, understanding and learning the content of other area, and fending themselves with any endeavor they may engage.(http://www.slideshare.net/marcomed/deped-k-to-12-english-curriculum-guide-grade-9?qid=3eac878c-b76f-47e1-9316-ad415973af18&v=default&b=&from_search=8)   And the other one is in k-12 we could be globally competent when it comes to communications, because in k-12 curriculum guide there are the design  about the communicative competence like grammatical and linguistic.
K-12 Weaknesses
1. Parents have to shell out more money (for transportation and food) for the education of their children.
2. The government does not have the money to pay for two more years of free education, since it does not even have the money to fully support today’s ten years. DepEd must first solve the lack of classrooms, furniture and equipment, qualified teachers, and error-free textbooks.
those are most common that the madlang people and parents are very affected.

3.  If there are few things you want to change or improve in the K to 12(English Curriculum), what will they be? Why? (25 pts.)
ANSWER: For me, I think the things that they need to improve or to change are the process of learning and the methods of learning. Because even we have the curriculum guide if the teachers are not effective it could turn into nothing. For example; when the teacher teach English subject, I think it will more effective when the student speak English during the class.

1. What do you think is the significance of the language curriculum design in learning capacity of the learners in learning the language? (25 pts)
*For me, the significance of the language curriculum design in learning capacity of the learners in learning the language is it helps them to improve and develop their skills. It helps the learners to cope easily and be able to be competitive in all categories that they will face in the future generations. It will help them to be advance in our incoming generations.

2. Enumerate and discuss at least 2 weaknesses & 2 strengths of the English language curriculum in the K to 12. (20 pts.)
*2 weaknesses/disadvantages:
1) The slow learners will be the one whose gon’na take the disadvantages in this curriculum. The slow learners can’t cope easily in any cause. The learners will be discourage to go to school because of the new policies provided by this curriculum.
2) The parents must have extra time to work to earn money to support their children.
*2 strengths/advantages:
1) The learners will develop their skills. They will become more competitive, innovative and resourceful learner and as worker in the future generations.
2) More opportunities will be given. By the skills they have- advance, competitive etc. the company that they will apply on won’t hesitate to hire them.

3. If there are few things you want to change or improve in the K to 12(English Curriculum), what will they be? Why? (25 pts.)
* I want to change the strategies that the teachers use in teaching. As I observed in grade I, the teacher will only write on the board and his/her students will copy it. She don’t even care if her students understand it. My niece can’t read yet, but when I saw her test paper I saw some mistakes in her answer. How can she answer that correctly if she can’t read that? Unlike the traditional way of teaching, they help their learners to understand the topic. The teacher is the one who help and teach her student to write and how to read. This curriculum is only for those who are not slow in learning, so that the teacher must help them to cope and able to follow them. Many of the students commented that their grades get low in this year even they did a good learning. I don’t understand, maybe the process of computing their grades has change because of this curriculum. I hope the learners can adjust with the new curriculum we have now.

1. The significance of the Language Curriculum design in learning capacity of the learners in learning the language it makes language more purposeful, meaningful and thus more motivating for the learners. It is enabling learners to adopt and respond flexibility to a rapidly changing world. It will develop their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills of the learners as well as appreciation of literature and values. It will determine the communicative act of the learners on how sentences are used.
2. The two weaknesses of the English language curriculum in the K-12 is the learners will not value their own language because of being focus on English language. Learners might forget the correct usage and value of their own language. The other one is, it might cause difficulty for the learners to cope up with flow of discussion especially for the slow learners, it will not be going to be effective if the learners did not come up and understand their lesson.
The strength of this curriculum in the K-12 is it will produce graduates who are communicative competent, because by applying this curriculum, graduates can apply the language conventions, principles, strategies and skills in interacting with others, learning and understanding other content areas may occur. It will also serve as fend for the learners or whatever field of endeavor they may engage in. Another one is the multi literacies, because this curriculum coins to help learners acquire highly developed literacy skills to the learners that enable them to understand that English language is the most widely medium of communication in world economy. Through multi literacy skills, learners will be able to appreciate and value our literacy text.

3. Although the K-12 Curriculum can provide highly and globally competitive graduates, it has also disadvantages. If I will be given a change to improve this curriculum, I will improve the supply of materials for the teachers and learners first before implementing the curriculum, because how it will be effective curriculum if teaching materials in this curriculum have shortage or should I say lack of teaching materials. Even classrooms and schools are limited. There is no enough facilities provided so that the learners from remote area force to rent rooms or boarding house. Parents have to crop out more money for transportation and food for the education of their children. Before they implement that program they should consider that also. The other one is the grades of the student, in this program teachers should not give failing grades to the learners. I want that to crop out in the curriculum because it might be the reason that the learners think that they will not receive failing grades even they are not studying well.

1. What do you think is the significance of the language curriculum design in learning capacity of the learners in learning the language?
ANSWER:
For me, the significance of the language curriculum design in learning capacity of the learners in learning the language is to help the learners to improve their skills and make them globally competitive. They have to learn everything about language because language is essential to every aspect and interaction in our everyday lives. It is about how to communicate to the other and to provide sufficient time for mastery of the concepts and skills.

2. Enumerate and discuss at least 2 weaknesses & 2  strengths of the English language curriculum in the the K to 12.

ANSWER:
2 weaknesses/disadvantages:
1.  Parents have to shell out more money for the education of their children.
Parents have to gain more money because they have to provide for the transportation and food of their children and the other expenses.
2.  Some student can’t continue on studying because for them it is time consuming.
2 strengths
1. Learners are globally competitive. They can compete easily because of the k to 12. They don’t have to study again if they want to work in abroad.
2. Their talents and skills will enhance, because in k to 12, they focus on how to develop the skills of their learners so that they can use in time.

3. If there are few things you want to change or improve in the K to 12(English Curriculum), what will they be? Why?

 ANSWER:
I want them to improve the facilities so that it is accurate for the study learning of the student. I want to change the teaching strategies in grade school. Because some teacher who just let their students copy the writings on the board cannot understand it.

1.  What do you think is the significance of the language curriculum design in         learning capacity of the learners in learning the language? (25 pts)

- It will improve and developed the communicative language skills of the learners. Every day we are having a communication with others that will help us to improve our communication skills, as of now, we are not only having conversation with Filipinos only but also with the native English speakers that help us to improve our English speaking, we can understand them and we can make a good conversation because of the language curriculum design.

2.  Enumerate and discuss at least 2 weaknesses & 2 strengths of the English language curriculum in the K to 12. (20 pts.)

-weaknesses are:
a) Parent get worry for the additional cost that may affects the continuation of study of their children.
b) It will affect the college curriculum.

-strengths are:
a)   It will provide sufficient time for mastery of concepts and skills, develop lifelong learners, and prepare graduates for tertiary education, Middle-level skills development, employment, and entrepreneurship
b)  The learners will develop their skills. They will become more competitive, innovative and resourceful learner

3. If there are few things you want to change or improve in the K to 12(English Curriculum), what will they be? Why? (25 pts.)

- Change the subject, because this one of the disadvantages of k-12 today, there are subject that has been thought in senior high that also teach in college and the problem is we cannot credit the subject that we learn in high school here in college, the best thing to do is to teach subject that is differ in college.
- School facilities. Today we are experiencing a shortage in school facilities. I want to have a complete facilities for the improvements of my learners.

1.The language of instruction is a foreign language and is rarely used
in social contexts outside the classroom which limits the extent of non-formal and
informal learning.Increases the opportunities for language learning and practice without
increasing the curriculum time and specialist language teacher time allocated to language
learning. As learners teaches english language they will be able to be good enough in speaking as well in writing english. The english that is widely used  by foreign country and people.Students will become globally competetive.
2.Because we are now a computer based age nglish language can be easily learned. One advantage is kids enter college more mature. Disadvantage is that it's an additional two years. And in this country, where a lot of children support their family and parents, that's a major disadvantage.
Offering everything for everyone from vocational training to college prep honors courses.
Only the wretched poor or those who worship their money would hate this. They asked for better education, here they freaking -.there is no improvement in content - and lack of teachers.
There are no advantages. An extra 2 years deprives a family of income in a society where the issue of poverty has not been addressed.
If I may add, there is no disadvantage today. Most of those who finish college will find that they need massive corporate training to keep up with the demands of professional life. In technical fields, you might be slow but you will learn as you go along. One cannot be thoroughly prepared in 10 or 12 years of education. Without a significant transformation of the support needed for kids to attain excellence, K-12 is just a a waste of time.

3.Is that the the intelligent use of technology can transform and improve almost every aspect of school, modernizing the nature of curriculum, student assignments, parental connections, and administration. Online curricula now include lesson plans, simulations, and demonstrations for classroom use and review. With online connections, students can share their work and communicate more productively and creatively. Teachers can maintain records and assessments using software tools and stay in close touch with students and families via email and voicemail. Schools can reduce administrative costs by using technology tools, as other fields have done, and provide more funds for the classroom.

1A.Language curriculum design equips the students with wide range of competitive skills and abilities to cope up with diverse situations. It prepares them to the  abrupt glides and ups in our society by exposing them with knowledge essential in the 21st century global state. It gives the teacher the scope to make interpretations in response to the particular needs, talents, interest, learning capabilities of individuals. It gives the facilitators the idea of what kind of approach or method should they use in executing lessons that will garner better response to the part of the students. The values, key competencies and learning areas are provided for the basis of teaching and learning for the students and for the teachers.

2.I would argue that there aren’t really any advantages to the students in this curriculum.  It is a fact  that it can be noted that this curriculum is generally cheaper and can be easier for a school to maintain because you don’t have to have teachers that are bilingual nor do you need to purchase instructional materials in a second language. It trains the students to speak in English proficiently which is really essential as they enter the real corporate world. It gears the students to be more globally competitive. However, it’s a deficit-based model that focuses on students’ lack of ability to speak English as a problem that needs re-mediating as opposed to highlighting students’ ability to speak another language. In this case students that are less knowledgeable tend not to speak for they are afraid of being laugh and criticize by others.

3.The materials and modules are delayed and much worse cases, some of it are not really available. with these failures teachers have to shoulder the shortcomings of the government, which has yet to recognize their sacrifice as they have not responded to their appeal for salary increase. Where would the teachers base their lessons? Where should they get their learning materials? Moreover, in English Curriculum design of the k to 12 students are exposed and focused in English-based instructions assuming that the students are equip enough of the skills they need to cope up with the lessons but it is a knocking truth that most of them are incapable of understanding and comprehending when the lessons are executed in English. Although k to 12 would bring an immense progressive impact in our country we should still consider if we are really ready  to implement this kind of curriculum.

1. What do you think is the significance of the language curriculum design in learning capacity of the learners in learning the language ? (25 pts)
I think learners will be aware the usage of word in learning to speak, recognize and to have complete knowledge in learning the language. It will be a great help for the learner/students to be guided with the mother tongue as it is the centre of inputs for k-12. the language curriculum design in learning capacity will enhance the learner to enrich the knowledge to the modern world of learning the language as well as applying their in the modern world of technology in our studies.

2. Enumerate and discuss at Least 2 weaknesses & 2 strengths of the English language curriculum in the K to 12. (20 pts.)
The English curriculum in k-12 program has its advantages and dis-advantages. The advantages of this are 1st proficiency in English language itself. Students will develop such proficiency if implemented. Although English has been our second language, it is still culpable that there are handful of those who fails to master this language. The language is considered universal. 2nd having been proficient of this language individuals will be able to express them self more in thus communicate with others whose 1st language is English. Lastly, it is apparently that the corporate world requires proficiency in English hence; implementing English in the curriculum will prepare the students for the corporate world making them more likely to be hired. One the other hand implementation of such will hinder proficiency in learning our language. while people in the province have mastered our own language and even of their own dialects, those in the NCR who have been trained to speak in English since birth will be denied of learning our native language or even introductions in such. This will cause absolution of the Filipino language for younger generations to come. In addition, less book card and other writing materials in Filipino will be less reproduces which can lead to work layoffs contributing to unemployed in the country

3. If there are few things you want to change or improve in the K to 12(English Curriculum), what will they be? Why? (25 pts.)

if I will be given a chance to change or to improve the k-12 I will be add materials needed in the classroom such as ample supply of  books, classrooms and any materials needed before implementing in k-12 program and maybe I should be changed to K-12 is the policy that no student will receive failing grades in their cards, because it is deeply engraved on their minds that they will not failed in their particular subject.

Balquen, Cherry Ann R.

Good afternoon sir. I put here my name 'coz I can't omit Ms. Vinluan's name. Thank you!

1.      What do you think is the significance of the language curriculum design in learning capacity of the learners in learning the language ? (25 pts)

For me,  it helps the students to be global competetive in some aspects of education. It develops the student’s knowledge and skills which land in higher education.
Curriculum is the design that allows us to plan academic activities. We will be the future teachers, so we have the obligation to guide our students to obtain all their objectives and goals in life.

2. Enumerate and discuss at east 2 weaknesses & 2  strengths of the English language curriculum in the the K to 12. (20 pts.)
2 strengths:
A. Strengthening Early Childhood Education (Universal Kindergarten) and Build a proficiency through language-  the children starts schooling at the age of 5 and they are given the means to slowly adjust to formal education. English and Filipino are taught as subject starting in Elementary, both language can use in languages of instruction  so that the students can understand and learn easily.
B. Ensuring Integrated and Seamless Learning ( Spiral Progression)- as I remember, spiral progression helps the students to develop their knowledge and skills because the tachers teach the subjects from the simplest concepts to more complicated concepts. After gaining knowledge in different  subjects, they ensure mastery of knowledge and skills after each level.
2 weaknesses:
A. Classrooms-  here in the Philippines we are lack of classrooms because our government dont have enough money to build a room.
B. As far as the curriculum is concerned, DepEd should fix the current subjects instead of adding new ones. The problem is the content, not the length, of basic education. As an editorial put it, we need to have better education, not more education.

3. If there are few things you want to change or improve in the K to 12(English Curriculum), what will they be? Why? (25 pts.)

I want to improve in the k to 12 English Curriculum is to required the students in writing English and reading comprehension because sometimes teachers dont have time to teach writing,  and to improve professional consensus about how best to teach grammar and usage, and a growing concern with technical writing.

1. What do you think is the significance of the language curriculum design in learning capacity of the learners in learning the language ?

Answer:
For me, it is important because English is used for communicating with foreigners at the workplace because English is accepted as the medium of international communications in four skills; speaking, listening, reading and writing. At the workplace, the act of communication can take place in various situations. The problems of communication in English can occur. The miscommunication between native and non-native speakers may be caused by a different interpretation of the sentence caused by the way of thinking and expressing ideas. They will identify those does and doesn’t incomes of using language so that they can apply it in their daily life. It is important to study especially in this curriculum with new breed of learners. The knowledge of the learners was broaden and widen the capacity of their understanding in English Language.
English is the dominant business language and it has become almost a necessity for people to speak English if they are to enter a global workforce, research from all over the world shows that cross-border business communication is most often conducted in English. Its importance in the global market place therefore cannot be understated, learning English really can change your life. English is important in my life because it is part of my culture in homes, towns even in school i used to communicate with people using English Language.and most of all, every subjects in the school are written in English, therefore we must know how to read, write and speak English to success in our studies.

2. Enumerate and discuss at east 2 weaknesses & 2  strengths of the English language curriculum in the the K to 12.

Answer:
One of disadvantages or weaknesses of the English Language curriculum is if there were no contact between certain social groups and the surrounding society, disadvantage, as viewed here, would not exist. Aside from that, we are not having a unity and understanding each other and our own countries doesn’t be productive as a happening nowadays. The strengths of English Language is this model is generally cheaper and can be easier for a school to maintain because you don’t have to have teachers that are bilingual nor do you need to purchase instructional materials in a second language aside from that, Without question, English is one of the most widely spoken languages. English is used in many parts of the world and is often the language that is common to people who have a first language other than English. The other one is greatest advantage of studying English is that your career prospects and employment opportunities can vastly increase. People who can speak English fluently are highly sought after by companies of many types, including international companies. When seeking work, proficiency and confidence in speaking and understanding English can put you at a distinct advantage.

3. If there are few things you want to change or improve in the K to 12(English Curriculum), what will they be? Why?

Answer:
If I will be given a chance to apply changes in this new curriculum, I will bring back the recently years to study in secondary. I will make it 4ears again because most reason of the parents that cannot sent their kids to school is the additional years spend in high school. They have no so much ability or financial to support the study of their children. But in change, I will make those four years of their study was incredible and molded them well as a new breed competitors of the world. I will assure that all the things that needed in facilitate learning will be completely provided. I’m literally pertaining on the materials that are going to use and those appropriate facilities to be use by learners as well as the teachers.  I will make this curriculum will be strictly incomes of giving a grades for students and make a high standards for attaining such. I will make the instructors that are going to handle those students was well oriented. In this curriculum, I will let not the students will be graduated without passing the intended grades to be avail. I will make the assessment should be expanded beyond simple test scores to instead provide a detailed, continuous profile of student strengths and weaknesses. Teachers, parents, and individual students can closely monitor academic progress and use the assessment to focus on areas that need improvement. Tests should be an opportunity for students to learn from their mistakes, retake the test, and improve their scores so that, their intellectual knowledge will be improved. One thing is the intelligent use of technology can transform and improve almost every aspect of school, modernizing the nature of curriculum, student assignments, parental connections, and administration, it will be modernize. The other one that I like was the resources of time, money, and facilities must be restructured. The school day should allow for more in-depth project work beyond the 45-minute period, including block scheduling of classes two hours or longer, I will make the time of discussing will be extended. Schools should not close for a three-month summer vacation, but should remain open for student activities, teacher development, and community use. Through the practice of looping, elementary school teachers stay with a class for two or more years, deepening their relationships with students. That’s it!

1. Language curriculum is designed for the students for them to enhance and broaden their knowledge in all aspect of language, especially in the field of grammar. We all know that language play a vital role in our society and also in our daily life. Filipino students needed a curriculum subject that will fit in their skills and capability. Now a day we are facing the said globalization, which is primarily concern on how to apply our skills and knowledge in terms of language. This subject has a big contribution in preparing the future professionals to become globally competitive. If we are acquainted enough in applying the knowledge that we have gained in this subject, we can say that we are ready enough to compete to other country. In addition for that another significance of this subject for me as a future teacher it can help to become a complete and deserving teacher in my profession.
2. STRENGTH
       a. It can be an instrument for the students to become highly competitive and to face the said globalization.
      b. It can improve the skills and knowledge of the future teacher here in our country.

      WEAKNESSES
       a. .The government is not ready enough in implementing this new curriculum. Yes, we all know that it leads for a better education, but we cannot deny the fact that until today, our education sectors are facing a lot of problems, primarily in the resources and materials.
       b. The parents will spend more money in sending their children to school, because it will take a long time than the old curriculum.

3. A. Lack of knowledge
-because since the time is shorter the teacher cannot give to the students all information regarding on that specific topic, teacher will shorten the topic for them to finish their syllabus.

B. short of time
-the time is shorter because the facilitator must finish the syllabus they have. They have short time to tackle the topic.

C . The teacher’s knowledge the subject that she/he will be teaching
-the government or the education sectors must conduct several seminars and activities for teachers for them to become acquainted enough in implementing the said curriculum.

1.significance
Maybe only 20% of the students in a secondary school  are not fluent in speaking English and having a hard time to understand English language. Different diversity of students is one factor in difficulties in learning English languge. It is really important to K to 12 curriculum  the curriculum design in learning English languge as our curriculum guide today to improve the English speaking skills of the students for us to learn to communicate effectively to others. Actually, to improve our communication skills in English is one of the goals of the K to 12 for us to be globally competitive. Specially here in the Philippines we consider english as the our second language and we used it more than our own language in many purposes as in school we are more focussing in learning  english languge in communication skills because we used it as the international language.
2. strengts and weaknesses
Advantages and disadvantages in english curriculum in K to 12 occurs only in the results of students learning  they gain after taking the subject. It’s up to the teachers of k to 12 on how they teach the English curriculum in K to 12. Implementing English curriculum in K to 12  is really worth only for the students who are interested in English subject. Those students who have a hard time studying in English subject will just try their best to past the subject but not really internalizing it.

3. I want to change
Philippines is not ready in implementing  the k to 12 curriculum. Government has to prepared  all the necessary thing in implementing this curriculum specially the facilities of school that will fit to its curriculum guide. We have to highlight the teachers has to be more skillful and they have to be more competent in teaching this curriculum. It is useless if teacher are not capable to gain the goals and standard of education  that is expected to a students as a graduate in k to 12 curriculum.

1.What do you think is the significance of the language curriculum design in learning capacity of the learners in learning the language?

I think the significance of the language curriculum design is to help the learners to learn a language to become an effective and independent language learners. It help learners to make the most effective use of previous knowledge and encourage the learners to communicate in a wide range of every situations.

2.Enumerate and discuss at least 2 weaknesses and 2 strengths of the language curriculum in the K to 12.

For me the weaknesses of the English language curriculum in the k to 12, for example in monitoring and assessment. In language curriculum design it represents the need of the learners to give attention to observing learning, testing the results of learning. But the question is,if the teachers follow this design?or it is only a design written and has an approval from the division but they did not follow this.Because there are many cases that,if the divisions give an assessment like the National Achievement Test, they only improved during the assessment, after all there is no improvement happen. And as I observed when I am on high school,my teacher are not actually doing or implementing this curriculum.
But this curriculum have a strengths, because if the learners' lack of interest in learning English, this curriculum influenced the learners to do an English course, because it obliged them as a part of their degree, also in a college students.

3.I f there are a few things you want to change or improve in the K to 12 (English Curriculum),what will they be? Why?

In K to 12 there is no things to  change, but I have an opinion to improved this curriculum.Because as I observed this curriculum is very effective and efficient but we are lack in facilities that our k to 12 students needed for their practicum and also a teachers that have a knowledge and skills to teach.
For me,we need to add more facilities and teachers in every school. that implementing this curriculum to become more effective, efficient and productive  students.

1.For me, the significance of the language curriculum design in learning capacity of the learners in learning the language is to develop and improve their speaking skills especially the English language. This is where they are able to compete globally and spoke English fluent.
2.In our country the weaknesses of the language curriculum in the K to 12 first, is the parents of the student they don’t  have enough money to educate their children for example you are graduate of Ligaya then, the senior and junior high school is here at Sablayan so, you need a lot of money . Second, we don’t have enough facilities for the new students. Then we have the strength of it has a strong foundation that no can destroy the slow learners must have a lot of time to learn such topic they are given a lot of time to think and think. Second, after graduating you have a lot of opportunities here and aboard.
3.The learning materials and resources that will be using in this curriculum. Because honestly that curriculum is implemented  without readiness so, they must add some facilities and materials for their learners that is essentials on their teaching styles and technique.

1. What do you think is the significance of the language curriculum design in learning capacity of the learners in learning the language?

It helps the learner to develop their ability and knowledge based on their learning ability because not all learners are good in language. Other are novice  in the study of language. The English-language curriculum in the national education system has been a bone of contention among parents and education experts for many years, with many lamenting its focus on grammar and structure at the expense of creating a fun learning experience for students. It also broaden the knowledge of the learners about the language especially in English language because it is necessary for today’s living because we are going to more closer to the other English language countries.

2. Enumerate and discuss at east 2 weaknesses & 2  strengths of the English language curriculum in the the K to 12.

3. If there are few things you want to change or improve in the K to 12(English Curriculum), what will they be? Why?
Although the K-12 Curriculum can provide highly and globally competitive graduates, it has also disadvantages. If I will be given a change to improve this curriculum, I will improve the supply of materials for the teachers and learners first before implementing the curriculum, because how it will be effective curriculum if teaching materials in this curriculum have shortage or should I say lack of teaching materials.
